Tour Itinerary

Day 1:  Hanoi city arrival (no meal)

Pick up at the airport upon arrival and transfer to the hotel for checkin. Free at leisure and overnight hotel Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi city tour+ overnight train to Lao Cai (B,L)

We start the day tour by visiting Ho Chi Minh mausoleum complex (except Monday and Friday) and one pillar pagoda. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. 

Afternoon city tour to visit the Temple of Literature - the first college of Vietnam and the place dedicating to Confucian. Then we continue our tour to visit the Vietnam Ethnology Museum and  then return to the center for experience sitting on a cyclo, enjoying views of what is happening on the streets of the Old Quarter, visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son temple and then enjoy a performance of traditional Water Puppetry (an art form unique to northern Vietnam, and an interesting, light-hearted introduction to its rural culture).

After dinner we transfer you to the train station for a overnight train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train. (soft sleeper coach).

Day 3: Sapa - Laochai Village - TaVan Village ( B, L , D )

6 hours trekking, 16 km, 3 villages:

Picked up at Laocai Railway station early in the morning by bus. Arrive at Sapa round 8:00 AM. Breakfast and shower. Start from Sapa at 10:00 AM by car and then get down to a valley, visit an H'mong village and the hydroelectric power station built by the French. Take a small path to go and visit other 2 villages of the H'mong and the Dzay people (LaoChai and TaVan village). Stay in TaVan at a Dzay family. Picnic lunch on the way and dinner at the family. Overnight at TaVan village.

Day 4: TaVan Village - Giang Ta Chai Village -Sapa ( B, L , D )

5 hours trekking, 14 km, 2 villages.

Breakfast at the home-stay, take the road to GiangTaChai village to see the Red Dzao people via the paths through terraces and bamboo forests. Visit a waterfall, a suspension bridge. Picnic lunch and cross the river. Visit an H'mong village up to the mountain. Take a jeep back to Sapa. Visit the ancient stone circle on the way back. Check in hotel, dinner in Sapa. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Sapa - CocLy Market - Boat Trip on Chay River ( B, L , D )

Breakfast at the hotel. Leave from Sapa early at 7:00 AM for CocLy market by jeep or bus, which is situated far from Sapa. Enjoy the peaceful life of different minority peoples ( Flower H'mong, Black Dzao, Tay, Dzay). The market is the chance for the minorities to meet and share joy and sorrows after the crops, to exchange one another's experience. Say goodbye to the market and get down onto a boat along Chay river. You are bound to feel great and find yourselves smaller among high Rock Mountains and to be surprised at white and breathtakingly waterfalls. Get off the boat to visit a village of the Tay Minority ( TrungDo village) by the river. After the boat trip, visit a small town - BaoNhai and then take jeep back to Laocai Station for the night train to Hanoi. Have dinner before getting on the night train.

Arrive in Hanoi roughly 5:30 AM next day.

Day 6: Hanoi- Halong Bay cruise tour(B,L,D)

 7.45-8.15:  Pick-up at the hotel. (Note: this time applied for those who use our shuttle bus service)
 10.00:  Having short break at stopover in Hai Duong Province.
 12.00 – 12.30: Embark on Lavender Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing and enjoy welcome-drink. Check in the cabin.
 13.15:  Enjoy lunch with sampling regional fresh seafood while cruising on exquisite water, passing Incense Burner island, Fighting Cock islet, Stone Dog… Lavender Cruise will bring you to explore Ha Long Bay on the most wonderful route where just a few cruises go through.

Do kayaking through the magnificent landscape with Limestone Mountains
 & swimming or just relaxing on the sun-deck for fantastic views at Hoa Cuong floating fishing village
Join our Cooking Class on the floating house. Let’s see how to make the fresh/fried spring rolls and mix fish-sauce.
Pass by Soi Sim Beach, “Rang Dua” Island to sleeping area near Surprising cave.
Enjoy sunset party and relax on the sun-deck for fantastic views. 
 
19:30: Under the magnificent night sky, our set-menu dinner is served with a variety of Vietnamese and Asian foods.
Evening activities:
-Join squid fishing on boat with our crews. You can enjoy the squid cooked with assistance from our chef.
- Or Laze yourself with our happy-hour drinks at the bar.
 
Overnight on Lavender Cruises
 
Day 7 : Halong Bay - Hanoi ( B – L )
06:15: Morning exercises on the Sun-deck.
07:15: Have breakfast with Coffee, tea and Bakeries on board.
08:00: Visit the Surprising Cave (Hang Sung Sot) discovered by the French in 1901. Opened for tourists since 1936, now it is a must-to-see and a symbol for geology value of Halong.
09:30: Check out time. Then relax on the sun-deck or inside the restaurant to enjoy the bay's scenery.
10h15: Enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch while cruising back to the pier.
12:00: Check out cruise. Our car will be at your disposal to pick you up then drive back to Hanoi.
16:00: Arrive in Hanoi. Check in and overnight in Hnaoi:

Day 8: Hanoi departure (B)

Free at leisure until airport transfer time. Our driver will pick you up from you hotel and transfer to Noi Bai airport for onward flight.
