Day 1: Da Nang – Arrival – Hoi An 

You will be welcomed at either the Da Nang Airport or at your hotel in Da Nang. The trip starts with a visit to the Cham Museum which houses the world’s finest collection of Cham arts. Take a short drive to the riverside town of Hoi An. Upon arrival, you will set off on a walking tour to explore this World Heritage Site. Highlights include an ancient merchant house, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, and the vibrant riverside market.

Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 2: Hoi An – Kim Bong Cycling – Thanh Ha Village – Tra Que Village

Take a morning boat cruise to Kim Bong Village where you will visit a shipbuilding yard and cycle through the village with stops at old colonial houses, temples and local cottage factories. You will continue cruising to the Thanh Ha pottery village and visit a traditional pottery workshop for some hands on experience in shaping pottery items. Drive to Tra Que Village for a visit to a kindergarten built by Vidotour. Join the pupils (weekdays only) in planting trees before walking to a farm to discover traditional gardening methods. Taste the local specialty “Tam Huu” spring rolls and indulge in a traditional herbal footbath.

Day 3: Hoi An – Hue

Depart for the ancient capital of Hue on a coastal drive via Cloudy Pass and the photogenic village of Lang Co. Upon arrival in Hue, visit the Imperial Citadel and the poetic mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc.

Overnight in Hue. [Breakfast]

Day 4: Hue Cycling – Tha Om Garden House – Boat Cruise

The tranquil villages and picturesque countryside make Hue an ideal place for cycling. In the morning, cycle through bamboo groves and villages to the Thanh Toan Covered Bridge. Continue your journey by meandering along paths to the Sam Market and the Thuong Lam Pagoda. (Total cycling on flat roads and paths: 23km).

In the afternoon, visit a Tha Om Garden House to discover the friendliness and hospitality of the host family and taste traditional Hue confectionaries. Proceed to the Thien Mu Pagoda to witness a daily Buddhist prayer before enjoying a sunset cruise on the river back to town.

Day 5: Hue – Departure

Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for departure.
